Crafted from turquoise and believed to protect its owner from the evil eye, the Assyrian Evil Eye is a design unique to Mardin. The holes on this figure represent eyes and are believed to protect from bad energy. Another meaning of the 7-eyed Assyrian Evil Eye is that it symbolizes the 7 gates of heaven. It is one of the best examples of the cultural heritage of the city of Mardin, which has tremendously inspired Assur's design journey.
